The Moon's a Balloon' and the sequel 'Bring on the Empty Horses' by David Niven are classics (and therefore probably read by you!). Both capture the humour of the man. Not read any autobiographies lately which are anywhere near as good.

Bob Monkhouse Crying with Laughter.
Both DavidNiven, especially the Moons a balloon, had me crying so funny.

No, honestly, it is a very good read.
STAY AWAY from Michael Caine. Total tosh - nothing but name dropping - the great I AM.
I read the latest Barbara Marx/Sinatra tell all biography it too was all name dropping and rubbish skip this one.
I liked Michael Parkinsons book, funny, quite sad in parts, but very interesting.
maggie re Michael Caine - " not many people know that" his famous quote !
Charles Dickens by Peter Ackroyd is excellent, it's a long read, but he had such an amazing life.
I found Roy Castle's an inspiring read.

I agree David Nivens 'The Moons a Balloon' and Bring on the Empty Horses' were a good read. I was disappointed with Peter Ustinov's book can't remember its title but I didn't reach the end of it. I didn't enjoy Tom Jones book either.
What about this one - depends on your sense of humour
