When, if playing Trivial Pursuits, you go first and get the answer right, do you just carry on answering until you get an answer wrong?

We played last night and one of the gang insisted that you only answer one question and then pass the dice to the left. We could not find a definitive answer in the rules.

We throw again if correct and hand over die when wrong.Continually throw when correct

Move again if you give the correct answer. In Trivial Pursuit, you get to move again if you give the right answer. You can keep rolling, moving, and answering questions until you get one wrong. Just keep in mind that the questions you answer must correspond with the color space you land on. For example, if you land on a blue space, then you must answer a blue question.[10]
If you are in the center space and have not earned all six wedges, you may answer a question in any category of your choice.
In the 25th Anniversary Edition, the question you must answer is also determined by the roll of the die, as each box contains questions for a single category. The higher you roll, the more difficult the question you receive.

Aww! Thank you. I knew I was right in insisting that we should be allowed to have another go!
Flippin' heck.
if you mean Trivial Pursuit, yes.

That would make an interesting Trivial Pursuit question ;-)

That's one drawback of hanging around with gangs...
We have always played you keep going until you are wrong, never heard of your gang member's rule!
Just as an aside, there are a lot of answers in TP that are wrong.
Some years ago I went through a stage of trying to memorise every Q&A. I double checked/researched every question and came across loads of incorrect answers.

Prudie, we were a bit tipsy and did as we were told but I did put up a bit of a fight...and lost. :-(

Can you give an example, Nails?

TTT, don't be so picky!
Off the top of my head Tills, was one question about Matisses Le Bateau been hung upside down for years when I knew it was only weeks.
Hang on, Ill have a quick google,,,
The problem with setting any form of quiz, which isn't going to be used for some time after the questions were written, is that the answers can become out of date.

I think it was TP that put in wrong answers to catch folk who copied their questions. Mind you it could be errors too.
Some discussion here about wrong answers Tills.

I came across loads and gave up hope with TP. Its just a game, not an educational tool.
With the yellow box edition, I memorised (and actually researched) about 90% of the Q&A's....and LOADS of wrong answers in that one edition alone.

(I didn't get out much at the time...)

Buen, we were using the latest edition of the game, freshly bought from Argos. The problem we had was sorting out the rules, not the correct answers. :-)

As long as the rules are correct the right answers don't matter then :-) lol!
Seriously though Tills, always double check the answers in TP. Notoriously unreliable.

Anyway, my team members and I did not win but we took it in good spirits. The rest of the gang, the opposing team, were gloating insufferably. :-)

It was a lovely way to spend a Boxing Day evening. Hic!
Glad you had a great boxing day evening Tills :-)
That's what its really about.
