Yogi -are you for real -'for us Brits' -what am I then For Funks Sake -I am LMFAO here and you have just proved my point mwah xxxxxx
(love ya but youve just shot yourself in the foot lol)
Not the first time, Dris x

Us English then....better?
I would have no problem with *any* of the home nations having their Saints day recognised.............I didn't realise that they were mutually exclusive.
My mother's birthdays - as she is suffering from dementia, she thinks she is St Georgina so I will probably be out with family and unable to celebrate. Free Greggs Steak and Bakes for all from the Ed, I hope.
vibes..;)
yogi -you summed up what this thread was about...........dont think it should have been encouraged in Suggs anyhow -gives a bear hug ;) xxx
((((Dris))))...Back at cha :0) x
Just leave it be -the Garth thing should be the end of it although she was delighted and I did smile.
jth -theres more than the Home Nations on this site.
ED -please leave it impartial.you will never please all the people all the time.
The greatest Englishmen/women would have made a great thread -(may surprise a lot of you leanr thtat I have very close family who are English and one of best mates is english.
Stop making the site clannish -get enough of that sh!t watching the News.....
ED can i please get preview soon -my typos are being made far worse by my H walking past bollock naked and watching JK -theres a limit to my multi tasking;)
And I'm sure that our 'even-more-foreign' contributors wouldn't mind in the least.

After all, the present Logo is a little London-centric in appearance............
I don't think that we want to see your preview Dris......

Actually I do think that St George's Day should be a central theme here unless we do a St David's and Andrews days. Not sure if the Northern Irish go fo St Paddy's Day byt then the amount that they drink over there, every day is a national saint's day....... We could also do a Prophet Mohammed's Day and really pizz AOG and the EDL supporters off.......
DT - huh?
Scotland was never ruled by England, although English forces did occupy parts of Scotland at times. We got our arses thoroughly kicked at Bannockburn and learned our lesson. Subsequent conflicts were as a result of border disputes or Scotland being too friendly with the Froggies, which was a serious threat to England. It was precisely for this reason, when the Stuart dynasty came to an end with the childless Queen Anne that the Act of Union was forced through to prevent Scotland from choosing the exiled Stuart James III as their monarch. It has been said that Scotland was 'bought and sold for English gold', with which sentiment as an Englishman I have to agree.
Did we not have a Shamrock on the AB logo on St Paddy's day? Didn't hear anyone complain then?

And yes Jack, sorry was Chilian wasn't it, not Cuba, i was partly right- well i got the C bit anyway ;-)
I rest my case ED ^^^^^^^see above posts -its a bone of contention.
Im laughing at some of the comments -and Muslims think theve got it bad -want to be bl00dy Scottish-we get blamed for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(psst -that was a joke up there honest injun lol -bet someone doesnt get it .....)
There was a suggestion of a St Andrews cross being displayed and it was shot down by many who said 'we can't have a different flag for every day of the year, can we?'....
