Seeing as your butt is so great what can I do for my stomach (that requires minimal input) - I am a size ten but following 5 babies (including twins last time) my stomach ping has pinged!

I thought it was a "blow your own trumpet" thread ... so I did.

But, in answer to this question ...

Requiring "minimal input" ... pay for a tummy tuck.

If you are willing to work at it ... I can give you a whole range of tummy exercises.

There's no "quick fix" for your tum.

But ... if you're a 10 ... I guess you only need a little bit of toning ... yes ??

Sorry - didn't mean to sound off (good for you on the butt front). I am little all over but I have a baby-belly (twins last time killed off any stomach muscles I used to have) - have little day-time time to myself but would be willing to put in the effort to sort it out (not good for my self esteem as I find it quite noticeable - not that I wear clingy clothes). I am a size 10, 5' 5" but the tummy thing is an issue. Thanks for any help.
Okay, look ... your tummy muscles serve one purpose ...

... to pull your thighs and torso closer together.

So, the basic tummy exercises involve lifting your body up to your legs (sit ups and crunches)

... or lifting your legs up to your body (leg raises, etc).

So lets eliminate gym work, and think what you might do in the kitchen, while waiting for the kettle to boil.

Put your hand out in front of you, as if you were patting a big dog on the head.

Bring your left knee up to touch your right hand.

Then swap, and bring your right knee up to touch your left hand.

Do it repeatedly.

By the time the kettle has boiled, your tummy will have had a pretty serious workout.

Then, sit at your desk.

Press your elbols down on to the desk.

Lift your feet about 6" off the ground ... and hold.

You will feel it in your tummy.

Do these exercises a lot.

Build up on you "knee raises" until you can do it for the duration of the Jeremy Kyle Show.

By the time you go on your summer holiday, you will have abs of steel !!!

"elbows" on the desk !

Thanks for your help - sorry if I sounded off about your butt (if you know what I mean).
I use a ladies bullworker.....excellent stomach exercises.
No prob ... sorry if I was abrupt.

You didn't sound off. It was my fault.

Bouncing your knees up really will tone your tum, much quicker than you'd expect.

And, if anyone walks in on you ... you can just stop !

After a few days, your tum will simply hurt ... as if you've been hit in the stomach.

After that, you will suddenly start to feel toned !!!

No probs - had a v sh!te couple of weeks and keep second guessing things I have said, etc. Your suggestions sound do-able so I will definately give them a try. Thanks
,what do you think of those total core sit up thingys
Sherrardk, athletic sex is always good for tonig (as long as it lasts longer than 10 minutes lol)
Question Author
Did you not read my thread thing - I've already got five kids - that's what athletic sex has got me - a baby-belly!
Then double-bag just to be extra safe
Any core work is good.

If you work on your abs at the front, and your glutes (bum) at the back ...

... you massively improve your core stability.

It improves your whole posture.
Twin tummy-great issnt it.Even when I was ill and lost loads of weight I still had mine.
Dusting off the total core workout thing, when I did use it,only for a few minutes I felt it.

Hi ayabrea38, I had glandular fever when the little ones were 3 months old and lost loads of weight but still can't/haven't had the get up and go to shift the baby-belly. Have you got twins too?

Hi JJ. Just got back from Geneva yesterday and its bloody cold here. Hows your Swiss bloke. Book wise, no great reads, have been having an adventure/ conspiracy fest
Me too ... lots of Robert Goddards, and a couple by Peter James.

Just started a book called On Chesil Beach, and (out of character for me) a biography of Kate Moss.

(yeah, yeah ... I know!)
