Awarding Stars for answers

Whats the point in allowing a questionairre to award stars when usually they are only given when they match their own views? All it encourages are the sycophants!

It's supposed to be awarded in factual questions.

The star being awarded to the person with the right answer, so others who happen across the thread can find the answer without having to trail down lots of wrong suggestions.

Yes I agree with that about factual answers when maybe they should be given but a lot of the posts are those with views about topics.

I know what you mean rov1200 but some posters award stars to anyone who bothers to comment unless they are downright unpleasant......bigmamma springs to mind (is that type of poster/questioner I mean, not that she's unpleasant!!) among others and personally I quite like it!

there is one particular woman/girl on chatterbank who goes into ecstacies if you give here stars and even sends back kissess for them

I had this same thread some 2days ago, stars are USELESS, they are given either to agree with the questioner's opinion or everyone gets one or nobody gets one.

JJ.."wanted" "tingly" "flushed" appreciated"....I could do all those things for you without stars.
