Having succumbed to the amusing and diverting pastime that is Chatterbank, the following seem to be true:

1. Once you have been lured into CB, you post almost any question under CB, no matter what it relates to.

2. As a CBer, if you see a "recent post" under any other heading, you feel compelled to click on it and post a facetious or frivolous reply, before returning to CB.

3. Any non-CBer who posts a question under any other heading must expect such facetious or frivolous answers from CBers.

4. CBers are like a guerilla warfare unit, charged with the task of protecting AnswerBank from any saddos who might have been hoping to find any serious advice.

In fact, we almost have a social obligation to keep the site from getting too serious or starchy.

If people post daft questions, we jump in there and expose their absurdity.
