I have brought this up before, and had some great responses, but nothing has been done as of yet...

I find it incredibly frustrating when I type a word in the search bar, for example... Top Gear and a huge mess/mass of TG entitled posts come up in no order.

It would be good if we are able to change the order of them, older first or newer first, in title order, in number of repsonses order etc.

Caladon - Every time AB gets a new editor - ABer's get their hopes up that some of the problems they have been having will finally be corrected - but it just never happens - and then another new editor gets hired and the whole process starts all over again.
I was going to post this question the other day, and then decided against it. Yes it is a useless mess, if only it was in some kind of date order, newest first, that would help.
It would also perhaps be more useful if the search only returned finds where the search item occurrs in the Question/Title bar, rather than return every post in every thread that relates remotely to the search. With the additional option of searching entire threads/posts/|Qs and As.

This seems to work in the 'has your question already been asked' bit so why not on the search this site?
