I have a thick, very sticky white substance on some of my conservatory plants. I presume it is from an insect as it doesn't look like mould. I have sprayed it with insecticide but nothing shifts it. Any ideas welcome. Should I get rid of the plants?

I'm still struggling with this overwriting business but am in the process of getting some help from Brian!

Been and spent a load on plants with the help of my sister for my gardener to put in tomorrow. All colours shapes and sizes, should look good when it's done.
Well..I am sobbing into my whisky ..it's all far too complicated .
Hi Dolly ....waves ....nice to see you ..take care ....

Jude...Can you tell brian I won a bottle of brandy on the sportsword .
I knew we would give you the gardening bug sooner or later !

Gessoo sends love to all but won't be around for a while .....very busy at the moment with work commitments etc. but will be back soon.

Love to you all....a very confused ..Shaney xx
Must say Hi to Neti Shaney Dolly Robinia and Gessoo Hope I haven't forgotten anybody --- back to the footie :o)
Hey Jude I tried to write out easy instructions but for some reason it won't appear on the page. Life is getting difficult isn't it?
Hi Neti<b/> never mind I'll get it sometime and then I'll wonder what I was worrying about!! Please don't laugh because I don't know if what I've done is right !!!
Well nearly right!!! Ha Ha!!!
Well that was rubbish...................
Jude for bold you put a forward arrow followed by a b and then backwards arrow
then whatever you want in bold
then forward arrow followed by forward slash, b and the backwards arrow and it should be done. Same with italics (i) or underline (u)
If that's anygood Jude I'll try to explain how to overwrite a link
Hi neti ,jude shaney robinia et al .Thanks for the jumper (no not the kangaroo!)robinia, just my style love it . To you it wouldn't seem cold and actually Brisbane has the best range of Temperatures in Australia (that's why we chose to come here ) ,I have that SAD disease (Seasonal Afflictive Disorder ) so when it's overcast and yes we had a bit of rain yesterday (10mm) I get miserable ! Well we are preparing ourselves for a holiday in the UK shortly and its a major operation ,I hate travelling but my husband wants to see his brother again .Couldn't let him go on his own he'd get lost ! I still can't get the hang of the new regime but I'll leave it for now ,off for my English Womens Weekly now Bye love to all xxx
Hi Dolly I wish we were into winter,is getting humid here, although have to say the weather is very strange this year, not half as hot as normal. Only been in the pool 3 times and am usally living in by now. Always overcast, still I like it. When are you travelling to England. I am going in August (my holiday away from my lot)where I see my two beloved sisters and spend spend spend.
Dolly you have SAD... so you're leaving Australia for a UK holiday??? I don't know if you've forgotten this, but the sun doesn't always shine over Britain...
morning all, hope you're well - been dancing naked around Stonehenge have we?
what a wild & windy night it was & it's so chilly this morning...had to put my anorak on to do a tour of the grounds.

Dolly I know how you feel with sad. I used to be very bad & always plummeted big style around half way through November but, touch wood, I've not hit the desperate lows in the past couple of yrs, although 3 very gloomy days on the trot any time of year can get me twitchy. I keep saying I'm going to buy a lightbox 'cos I hate dark mornings. Hope the sun shines for you soon.
And unfortunately jno is right - it's not always

likethis

neti I see you've got to grips with making us bold - now can you make me beautiful too?
mmmm not made a bad job there, but what a palaver
