Morning. Saturday and the weekend is here. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Have you anything planned for today?

The weather has been amazing so far. The forecast has a high of 40c on Monday I think, I guess we will have to find some shade. I Will be out this afternoon at our local pub, celebrating my brothers 50th birthday, which I am really looking forward to. There will 12 of us, all family for a late lunch, early dinner. Should be fun.

I have slept better than I ever do at home and feel very relaxed.

I'm assuming that you are in the south of England since you say the temp is going up to 40.

I am in West Sussex a lovely part of the UK
But London is supposed to be the hottest in the next few days. My sil told my brother and I that we aren't to sit in the sun when it's 40c she has a point.

I'm doing well. My sister payed her weekly visit on Friday, we sat on the balcony sucking back on a couple of beers while watching the activity downtown. It was sunny and 29.

That's good, I am glad you are well. I have sat in my brothers garden and am now quite brown. A healthy glow if you like.
Wednesday is supposed to be thunderstorms and torrential rain
I am taking my brother and SIL out on Wednesday for a meal at the same pub as a way of saying thank you.

Good morning all.
It's overcast again here and quite cool. I'd rather have it like this than endure the 40° that is forecast for the south of England in the coming week.
Later today I'll walk into the city centre to M&S and do a bit of shopping. It's about 2 miles and there are closer shops but it gives me the chance to stretch my legs.

Hi Emmie,
Today marks my 14th day cigarette and alcohol free. I'm feeling proud of myself. I missed the cigarettes more than the beer but both were just a habit, maybe developed out if boredom.
How's the eye? I hope it's getting better.
