thanks emmie, that answered my question
from the BBC -

What's going to happen on 29 March?

People will be allowed to meet outside, either with one other household or within the "rule of six", including in private gardens
The stay at home rule will end, but the government will urge people to stay local as much as possible
its all a tad confusing, but at least we can start to try to get back to some form of normality, whatever that is
No it's not confusing.

When "Step 1" is implemented (which I believe is next Monday) up to six people can meet outside. As with all the Covid legislation there is no distance limit on how far you can go to meet up.

Already there is talk of "guidance" which suggests you should "not travel far" or "stay local" rearing its head. It has no legal standing and from next Monday (provided the PM does not change his mind - which is not unheard of) you no longer need a "reasonable excuse" to leave or remain outside your home. So you can travel as far as you like and meet whoever you like provided it's outdoors and does not involve more than five other people.
I disagree with NJ. It is confusing.
Yes a little bit of fun is going to be allowed, how generous. We are so grateful.
Why would you want to unless it was necessary?
Why would you not want to? I'm going a bit crazy walking the dog in the same places.

i'd like to see my elderly parents who live 80 miles away
My neighbour has a visit from her elderly parents who come to visit 2 or 3 times a week !!
is it correct you would have to be outside if you do?
Is this what we've come to? We'll never want to do anything again unless it's a necessity and if we do we have to justify it?
Germany has had to about face on their Easter Crackdown, they were going to lockdown for 5days now that has been changed, so we are not alone in this.
Don't know why you all keep ranting on about were you can go, were you can't go, how long for, just do as I've been doing for 12 months go, and do what you like. The police couldn't care a toss unless they see you in very large groups having a shin-dig, or your driving around at 2 3 4 am in the morning then your waving a red rag at a bull. :0)
emmie yes only outside, indoor visitors is 17th May

All stages outlined here:

i said all along who would know if one went to see family, its deemed irresponsible i guess, but in the light of the law, unless you were grassed up by a neighbour, no one be aware you were there.
thought so chelle.... thanks
