Don't know if this has already been posted, but a 99 year old chap is walking 2.5km before his 100th birthday to raise money for the NHS. So far he's raised over 6 million.

How fantastic is that. Good luck Capt Tom Moore

Ah, it was already posted, I missed it. It's amazing that most people are heading for uncharted territory with regards to their finances, but still donate a few quid.
This is so wonderful and heartwarming.....both the gentleman and those who have donated.
An astonishing amount & still rising, this is genuinely uplifting.
I have so much admiration for Tom.

Makes one proud to be British. The guy deserves a knighthood for his 'services to lifting the spirits of a nation'.
It's an amazing achievement.
I would love to shake his hand, pity I can't.
He's my hero.
The money is coming in from all over the world, not just here. He seems to have caught everyone's attention. Good Lad.

Over £7M and counting. And that's even with his web page crashing as 90,000 people were trying to donate all at the same time!!
An amazing charitable man
Quite moist round the eyes. Well done that man - and well done all those supporting him as well as all those donating.
