I took some minced beef out of the freezer last night - still partially frozen this morning - I don't know whether to make chilli, lasagne or spag bol.

But we'll definitely be drinking a nice Zinfandel from Aldi - The Wrangler - a superb, rich and multi-layer red clocking in at 15% ABV (sorry, no link), and a bottle of the best rosé out there right now - https://www.aldi.co.uk/coteaux-d%27aix-en-provence/p/014054307330200 to accompany.

Slow cooked chicken with red wine sauce, vegetables and potatoes... I think. If we can locate some potatoes.
One of the nicest Zinfandels I’ve tried is called 3 Mills ( Asda)
Not sure what we are having tonight but I know I’m going to set myself a task each day starting today with getting rid of some of the many duvet sets I’ve managed to collect :0)

That sound nice, Pixie. I hope you can find some potatoes.

Will not be anything tricky, probably some ready meals, easy and quick. If I can get a joint, will do a proper Sunday roast tomorrow.
Question Author
I should think load of people will want to do a roast tomorrow, seeing as they're stuck indoors.

Pan fried fresh Scottish salmon served with petite pois with pancetta and buttered new potatoes, all bought from Aldi yesterday, followed by home made chocolate mouse with Baileys. I will also be going with a bottle of Jean-Paul Seguin Pouilly-Fumé which will complement the salmon and pancetta, and a cheeky bottle of Aldi's Prosecco Superiore DOCG to sip on later.
Not sure as 'he' does the cooking. I do know we have had a problem getting fresh meat from Tesco, no chicken last 3 times and very little red meat available.
Spinach potato and chicken curry with homemade pitta bread

I went to Morrisons at 7am the other morning, Prudie, and couldn't get any red meat then.
Aldi had everything meat wise except fresh chicken breasts but OH got frozen. He went at 6pm too, not up with the larks like most who go to Tesco. Aldi! Yeh!
Duck, but got to catch it first :-)
Question Author
We managed to get a pair of chicken breasts from the local Spar last night.

I usually pop to Aldi on my way home from work, which is invariably between 7 and 7:30pm and they usually have a few scattered meat products left. I might bulk-buy veggies and make stacks of soup!
With two bags of flour :-)
We're having a Jacobs Ladder in some kind of bbq style marinade that himself found in the internet. It had better be nice as the thought of all that meat tasting yak will give me the hump.
we are having bibimbap
Spatchcock chicken shredded and served as you would duck with cucumber spring onions and pancakes. With Hoy sin sauce (sorry not sure of spellings!!!) did shop other day on way home from work (teacher)
My kind neighbours picked up some things for me from Aldi yesterday, including 2 kg of chicken thighs. Most in the freezer, and the rest will be some sort of very spicey curry later.
They had been first thing and told me Aldi had loads. The husband got mine at around noon.
Jacobs Ladder?
Pasta I’d love a good curry recipe, that is something I can NOT make
i thought that too - google tells me it's short rib of beef
