Anthony Andrews ...very nice! I loved him in Brideshead..i am always watching it on DVD.Mind you we have slogged through Poldark this weekend..Robin Ellis ..Mmmm!

Oh shaney I've got the Biddyhead Revisited dvd - think it's time I watched it again. I'll be able to star in it if they do a remake - I must know most of the script!

Hello all

It's like this here

I watched Marple last night too. I thinks it's good except I think the story could be told in an hour instead of two, but that's just me opinion. I like Geraldine McEwan, I thought she was great in Robin Prince of thieves. As for Brideshead I never did get into it really sounds like I was missing something.

Hope you are all ok. :o)

Hi Jude - well if you think that miss marple takes too long maybe Brideshead wouldn't be for you....about 12 hours of it! Nothing is hurried but the filming is just incredible. For me it has to be the best tv production ever.

Weather's awful isn't it? I've got lots I could be doing instead of ambling around this site tho'. wheelie bin is now empty & ready for week two of the clear out :-(

Hi Robinia I reckon we're going to have sun and showers all day. To be honest I've got loads I could be doing but I'm just dossing around today.

Booked to go to The Playhouse next week to see Ayckbourne's Henceforward. My son is an English Literature teacher and he says it should be a laugh.

Oh well back to the dossing!! :o)

hello all, what a nasty cold day! Went to see my Mum at the weekend, she has had a nasty go with polymyalgia and has been housebound with the exception of trips to the doc's since before christmas. My sister who is a complete star has been doing most of the looking after and escort duty as she is now retired and more able to be away from home. Luckily the weather was nice so we went out to the shops and had a wander round and a coffee, then I tidied up her front garden. Hope all the uk residents are managing to keep warm and dry in this filthy weather?....and how are the invalids? (I include shaney in this...My daft happorth had a hayfevery type thing back in the autumn that gave her red runny itchy eyes...before I could get her to the vets, she had scratched one eye with her dewclaw! fortunately she is very good about eyedrops)
Do you remember our friend JG of Blood Pressure fame? Who could forget. Well I have just seen that she is answering questions on Land Registry (although she has a new user name of JG back to front). It now all makes sense. She is an old enemy and one of the reasons I originally changed my name a long time ago. Smudge will know exactly who I mean.

Hello everyone - freezing cold here although was sunny to start with, now all grey. I'm all grey too.

gessoo how are you today? OK I hope.

I'm fine Neti! The cold has really made my back hurt today so haven't ventured out the house!! Been a frustrating day - I have loads of work to catch up on for which I need my phone and my phone is playing up!! BT have been but are puzzled, so have gone away to do loads more tests. Very quiet today init! I reckon they've all sloped back off to bed.

here

and who could blame them.

I'm just going to put the kettle on for a cuppa. Anyone care to join me.

evening all - woofgang sorry your mum is having a bad time of it. These 'myalgias' are horrible things and this long cold miserable winter hasn't helped. Hope she feels better soon.

gessoo - I remember the bother you had before. Stay calm, we don't want the horoscope to come true. Tea with 2 sugars please but I'm not too sure about Vinny's cake.....
Vinny, Groovin with Mr Bloe was one of the first singles I bought.......

groovin

Hi again all
JG has been flitting around backwards for a while now. In fact in History and Myths she/it had the damn cheek to post a picture a la Tatty Rollox after I had answered someones question. She followed me around for a bit but has got fed now and cleared off. Just seeing the name makes my blood boil. Just don't mention your BP anyone !

I love Brideshead Robinia, the music.the scenery ,Anthony Andrews.... it's one of the few television productions I have ever seen that is practically word for word as in the book.

Shaney report....
Been to the vets and have got antibiotic drops for his eyes and have to take him back on Thursday for a further check. He was a good boy and we didn't have any naughty behaviour when I put the drops in a liitle while ago.

It is B. freezing here and has been lashing down with rain.

Hope your Mum is feeling better Woofgang..this cold weather doesn't help .I feel like death warmed up at the moment with aches and pains. Me poor old knees were screaming when I got back from the vets.My son came with me and he races along and I practically have to run to keep up with him !!

Yeah, good tune robinia...this is you crossing the road...hehe....

robi

(:)dont mess with a a biddy...hahahahaha(:)

Hi everyone sorry to hear it seems to be getting even colder over there .I think you are all very brave ,while the excess heat gets me down sometimes (so I stay in the air-conditioning) I hate being cold it makes me cry (I'm a wimp!).I hear that Bird flu has reached France etc .I do hope if and when it hops over the Channel you all manage to avoid it ! I had my B12 injection yesterday help keep my energy levels up ,I was so dopey before I started having them . Hubby just been for blood tests cholestrol etc . Any more pills and we'll be rattling ! Well housework calls so I'll wish you all the best and try to send some sun over there ! (I still can't do links ).

hahaha.....laughed so loudly at that Vinny it woke my dog up....brilliant, another one for my sister that. Btw you got one star for your gratsumo, did you see it?

now then , about this bloomin 13 million tons....I see someone else is having a rant about it in suggs.....

grrrrr

Hi Dolly - it's so strange that you are having your day while we have our night & you swelter while we freeze! The wind has been awful today. I don't like it too hot either - just as bad for the aches as the cold is but I'd at least like to shed one or two layers of clothes. It's like one of those Russian dolls when I get undressed - I end up a fifth of the size I started!

Seeing as you're all recharged with your B12 I'll leave the baking to you for tonight - this lot aren't a lot of help. We tried to get Vinny on a course but he got it a bit wrong

chef de partie

Did we all forgaet to start baking again?? I got this little chap to help, as I forgot the basics:

before the baking starts

Still chilly here but clement. Water seems OK today but beware if those beggars turn it off again.

Sorry got a bit carried away cooking breakfast - think I'll let Dolly do it in future:
