'Old Timers' Corner'

Somewhere where we can quietly chat about our tomato plants, memories and liberty bodices, whilst we park up our zimmer frames and have a nice cuppa.

I did suggest it before and the Ed said he thought it was a good idea.  Come on Ed. we are getting swamped in Chatterbank and it would keep us happy.

Oh no sis ...not stuck on my commode again....you have a good weekend too and enjoy your fourpennorth of chips .We are off to the Maritime Festival in Great Yarmouth tomorrow where there will be plenty of chips to be had in the market place stalls and I shall be doing my best to eat as many as possible.Washed down with plenty of strong ale in the beer tent no doubt. The have the newfoundland rescue dog display in the river which I am looking forward to seeing.
See you at the old folks home later!!

Having a great party in my bar tonight..jakes of to uni next week...and im already pisked!!tried  telling them its a quid a time to get in...but they just got a vacant look on there faces!!there must be at least 50 of em thats fifty quid in old money.and there drinking my bar dry!!help...!!Im just of to hide my becks(:)

Time for Cod Liver Oil, Ovaltine and bedybyes now. Gotta be up at 5.30 to polish the front step and Brasso my handles. Then off for a shampoo and set and I'll be waiting outside Marksies food hall when it opens at 8.30 to buy my Fancies (which I will carry home in my tartan shopping trolley). See what Redifusion's got on in the afternoon - does that handsome Dickie Davies still introduce the wrestling? Egg and chips for tea, Generation Game and Saturday Night at the Palladium, might treat myself to one of those Babychams Vinny's organising. If I'm daring I'll stay up for Tales Of The Unexpected.

Now I've turned into my nan, and I've gone all tearful. Night FP, don't forget your Ralgex.

Gawd that brings back memories ..Saturday afternoon wrestling..My dear old Dad used to love it..the air used to be blue!! Jackie Pallo and Big Daddy.!!
Night to all in the BiddyBank!

Whats the ages in here?youngest to the eldest please-il have patience and wait for you to reply1

Take it there all in bed then -lol.and may i say this has turned into "old timers corner" anyway and its supposed to be ab suggestions!

I just want to add my support for an 'Old Timers' Corner'
I was originally in favour of requests to create what became called ChatterBank but  I'm not in favour of what it has turned out to be.  It has become one of my 'no-go areas'.  Before ChatterBank, there was an occasional late-night party in ABSuggestions which obviously was not an appropriate place - far too serious.  ChatterBank was supposed to be a more suitable place for us to hang out but it has become more of a cross between a youth club and a school playground.  What we need is a 'Snug Bar' where we can get away from the yoof culture and sup a serious pint or two (with a whisky chaser).

I'll drink to that gen2 !
I'll drink to that too Gen2, What an awful place that is, people changing their names to argue,  happily stating how drunk they are, very sad. A Growns Up's Room is a great idea. :-)

Can someone bring me a bowl of warm water to soak my poor old feet please - been shopping all afternoon. Glad to see this has been popular - hope you're still shining that light on the Ed FP!!

Patricia I won't tell on the others but I'm 51 if that's any help!

Catching up with you Robinia, at 48...

No liquoricemad, I'm going backwards to meet you!
Oi... FP can I join in too cos I'm one of the oldies (just got to me half century). Still got life in the old bones and fancy rocking the night away to some of the LP's stashed under the sofa.

I promise to be really good and not go knocking on peoples doors after 9pm or go roaming the corridors in my pyjamas with tit-bits (unless it's a pyjam party of course!)
I am thinking this might be a better place for me too, I openly admit that at 1 month off fifty I happily get drunk, and that if Johnny Depp became available (and I employed a good hypnotist to intecept him) I would have another life, but momentarily I am constantly wallowing in nostalgia and radox, so maybe you lot are my kind of people.
Hi Biddies, hope you're all getting ready to go to Sunday School. I've already got the mothballs out of my coat pockets and my patent leather shoes are all shiny.
