My hallway is looking a bit drab and needs a lick of emulsion but I can't decide on a colour scheme.
It's a narrow hallway with not much light getting in and there is a dado rail part way up and all the doors are white, the floor is beech laminate with brown runners.
Looking for suggestion for colours please above the dado and below.
Many thanks.

Duck egg blue, you can get it in dark and light shades so you could have darker below the rail and lighter above.

I would just paint the whole lot in a light shade if it were my hall though :)
You can get light reflecting paint. Might help if you don't get much natural light in the hall.

I had something like this in my last house with a light green colour block below the dado and a patterned matching light green paper above.

I suppose it makes a refreshing change from, "What are you having for lunch?"
Keep it light - Farrow and Ball do a lovely range and their pale creams or warm light greys can take a darker colour to lend contrast but still pick up the light.

I use these on-line colours with clients for mounts on my prints and I will endeavour to match the mount as close as possible to the swatch. Now that's useless info, I know!
A nice pale duck egg or cornflour blue, pale shades of green or pink or a pale yellow such as camomile.

Have been thinking about Dulux Light and Space 2sp but have never seen it on anyone's walls so can't imagine what it would look like.

Can't change my brown runners as I haven't had them long so the colours would have to go with the brown and also the beech laminate.
I give up, I know when I'm beat.
I picked a colour to paint my freshly plastered walls and it's more or less the same colour as freshly plastered walls. Doh.
lol @ grumpy mike..................
beefburger brown on the bottom and light golden sausage colour on the top.
In that case, miss prim, a pale green would make a good bet.
"...above the dado and below."

Will have to seek professional advice, never heard it called that before!
''beefburger brown on the bottom and light golden sausage colour on the top''

Tasty. Add a ketchup red and mustard ochre hallway carpet and spray whole area liberally with essence of fried onion for the full burger van effect...

Just spoken to my decorator person and he said no to Light and Space as my hallway is too narrow for it to work!
Perhaps I should suggest Mick's idea, sounds quite nice really.
Lol to ummmm.
Thinking about Daffy's duck egg blue and Nomercy's pale green at the moment.
It does actually look nice. MIL has painted hers the same colour. Copycat!!
