It would be interesting to know the reasons for regular contributors being absent from the columns of AB ......e.g. AlBags and Buenchico.

The Ed would have their E/mail addresses and, possibly, could drop them a line to establish if they are alright.

I know I've not been missed - reason for not logging on - been very, very busy.

Sorry chi-chi....My error...I was looking for a new posting, whereas Carlton posted on an old link which ,quite rightly, you gave above.

Ron.
^^^failing that, follow my link that I posted, look for the date halfway down the page. 2nd.May 2012
see, no one missed me
Yes, I admit that I have been concerned about Al and have posted sometimes to that effect.

Buenchico hasn't been gone that long, and it could be vacation whatever......he normally is on, giving his immense value, but maybe we ought to give it a little longer.

The Ed mag may be a good "plea" forum though.....

Chris (Buenchico) was on just after nine this evening.:=

Good grief
I'd love an email to see why I wasn't contributing my normal drivel ....not .
Can't stand busybodies .
Especially those who feel the need to go through peoples profiles .
I don't think it would be appropriate for the Ed to email people to ask if they're okay - but I think a personal message section on here limited to just a couple of lines and perhaps a throwaway email address would be very useful. That way, if people are looking in, they would know others are concerned for their welfare - and it would also allow us to draw the attention of those who might be interested to particular threads.
Crikey I'll think twice next time before switching the BlackBerry off for a couple of days and living wild in the woods to recharge my batteries. Just me, my dog, and nature. Can't beat it.

Hi shaney...It's a long time since we last spoke to each other. I see you have now passed the 26,000. mark with answers in AB.:-)

Hope you are well, as are Viv and me.

Ron.
Yoohoo Ron ..hope you are both jogging along as are we .
26,000 answers ..Blimey ...and most of them total twaddle :-))

I am now wondering if perhaps the Ed has gone missing. A week has elapsed without any further comment from him, in a thread which he started.:-

Ed's alive and well and starting polls about smartphones.
Question Author
I couldn't care less about smartphones.

Anyway it's good to know that the Ed is still about, because I was at the point of sending him an E/mail to enquire if he were still alive. :-)

Ron.
This post got me thinking. If anything happened to me none of you lot would know (or probably care lol) because none of my nearest and dearest know I come on here
Question Author
mrs_overall,.....In all seriousness, I and others would miss you....The absence of any longstanding member of AB is a cause for concern....In fact I even miss some of the former members who have been banned.

Ron.
Thank you Ron.
I have no plans to go anywhere anytime soon, but should anything happen, I will endeavour to send a message from beyond the grave.
Question Author
I had hoped that our Ed would have found a few minutes to comment on this matter. However, it could be the case that he is extremely busy trying to sort-out Mobiles, Smart phones, Italics, Firefox,etc... Along with making sure his bike is fully maintained for weekends and holidays.:-)

Nevertheless, I wish to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread and to draw your attention to a posting from Hopkirk.:-

Thanks again.....Ron.
I think we will start to put people off if we start hounding them to find out where they've gone.....
Question Author
Hi Boxtops....I always take note of your postings and your latest in this thread has made me think further. Consequently, perhaps I am 'barking up the wrong tree'.... I am now thinking of what would we say to someone who posted along the lines of "Pleased you missed me, whilst I was off for a stretch of time".

Nevertheless, it would have been nice to have had a comment from the Ed.
