Why dignify them by calling them New members Rocky? They are a bunch of ignorant numpties.
But yes, can't we block them somehow?
If there was he'd probably have done it by now....

What if they post from a library? Or someone elses house? Or from their phone?
No apparently not............what's to say they have a fixed IP, they may be posting by phone.
No...

1) almost everyone has a dynamic IP address for home Internet connection, which means it changes every time they reset their router, so if you block an IP you'd just be blocking the next people that get allocated that IP address.

2) a lot of public buildings and places like universities or work places have one public IP address and everyone in that place will show as coming from the same IP address, you block that IP address you block everyone in that building.
People change computer, it wouldn't work. Just report 'em, pdq.
they haven't lasted more than a few seconds, have they? I think that's probably more efficient than requiring all new members to take off their shoes and belts and go through a whole-body scanner.

Oh well, just a thought. I called them new members nungate because if I called them what I really thought of them the I would be as bad as them.
I got the last one within a minute or so :) (I like playing that game:))... I've seen a couple more today but have been beaten to it by other mods or the Ed.
Numpty is a good all encompassing word Rocky, feel free to use it whenever the right situation arises
Some forum type sites now impose a 24hr cooling off period after any new username is registered - before that user can actually post anything.

Gives the admins time for a quick daily eyeball of new usernames and weeding out of maliciously offensive rubbish.

Thoughts from the Ed ?

I never would have made it through that stage :)
well there's a good reply from the Ab Editor's Satan
I reckon there should be a nominal pre-posting fee.. about £2, maybe for a charity. at least then there would be some loss for their efforts.
Just ignore them.
Pffft..

Mistyped my password so got beaten to that one :)
I wouldn't have minded paying a membership fee............

I'd happily pay a membership fee, this site is invaluable.
I'm running of dots to spread around. Where's Dot Hawkes when you need her?
