Same here, oh flame haired beauty, but not for long according to the BBC weather at 4.55 this morning - rain due about 8am up here in North Wales
Morning Welshy and Noraq x

Some little Wiltshire bumpkin is going to be sooooo pleased for you as he starts another week of shift work - tough, tough, tough!

I hope the weather stays bright for you Welshy - yesterday was the most gorgeous day in Bournemouth. The sky was brilliantly blue and the vapour trails were so high they looked nothing more than a distant gnat's fart ;) The sun was radiating like the Koh-i-noor diamond turning under the fiercest arc lamps. Thank goodness for ciggie breaks, I say.

Am off today - a nice long weekend - and will be out to Big Sis's in 2 hours. One does so enjoy one's weekend residence. Have a great day everyone.

Morning ttfn, my heart bleeds for old sheepdip - honest it does! Weather not promising much except rain through to midweek whhich is a shame because tuesday would have been Sylvia's birthday and I was going to be down the churchyard tending to the grave and putting some lovely flowers there for her. Still, what's a bit of rain - won't do me any harm.
mmm....diamonds....xx Ttfn. Have a great time. =)
Question Author
Apparently they're a girls best friend, Noraq

Welshy - the rain keeps everything fresh and inviting (unless it is on you-know-who, in which case the first half of my statement is certainly true, if not the second!) I am sure the flowers will be appreciated x
Noraq - a girl's best friend, certainly ☺ I am taking Big Sis for tests this morning to determine her latest health issue. I think she is jealous of my track record and is trying to catch me up - silly girl. She is streets behind me, lol. The rest of the weekend will be fantabulous though - I have fresh supplies in :))) x
lovely choice of song for Sir. A. there ttfn. xx
'morning housemouse.
Morning folks...been up ages but couldn't keep at the keyboard or I'd have started this thread at 0530... autumn mists in Birmingham no sign of the sun but it must be there somewhere... Enjoy your hols Welshy... ttfn.... can you tell me what you are taking....sounds like it would do a bomb down the clubs...
But it was a lovely day yesterday...what I saw of it anyway...
Question Author
Morning housemouse. Noraq - I've got a good song - goes like this -

Welshy's going on a summer holiday
No more working for week or two..........................
ttfn..the Koh-i-noor..is part of the crown of state in the Tower of London ?...think I read it's history...many years ago.
Morning all, cloudy and warm in the deep south, have a good day everyone xx
Welshy...don't rub it in or anything..will ya!! =)
Question Author
Morning Rowan, daylight appearing over Bangor revealing some grey clouds - looks like we'll be getting the promised rain very soon.

Morning bensmum - hope it stays that way darn sarf
Question Author
Rubbing what in? - going off for a week - not working - doing f.. all - staying in bed watching telly - no meetings - no Yabbie kickings - no AB ban - do i like it? Indeed I do
Its a lovely stone.... My Great Grandmother put the velvets in the crowns for the queens coronation so she saw them up close and personal. The lighting at the tower of London display makes them look even better though
-- answer removed --
Noraq - indeed. Have a look - makes facetnating reading ;) Towards the end of the page - I love James Callaghan's reply to Ali Bhutto's request/demand that the diamond be returned.

I remember back in the 60's when Richard Burton bought Liz Taylor her special diamond he said he wished it could have been the Koh-i-noor - thuddddd ☺
