They even have non birders getting excited, I think because they are not bothered by people coming and going nearby. And they look exotic.

They do look very exotic, Rowan.
I remember years ago my first ever sighting of long tailed tits, I couldn’t believe it!! I’d never heard of them let alone seen them, I really thought they were escapees from someone’s aviary.

Love longtails, so pretty, we take so many of our own birds for granted, think how stunning a jay is, colourful as some tropical species. And look closely at a goldfinch, another exotic little creature.
Just the one lurking in Sheffield.
