Two years ago we got what we thought was a black vietnamese pot bellied miniature pig but two years later it has grown to a monster as we all have a tendency to over feed her. She hasn't walked in three and half months because we though that her legs maybe couldn't handle the weight but it now appears that she's been pregnant and is about to have piglets and the main problem is that we live on the 7th floor of a council block so can't even call the vet in fear of being reported and evicted. Are there any farmers, zoologists or veterinarians that can advise how to assist the birth?

I've heard of "pig in a poke" - this is "pig in a pokey council flat".
a two year pregnancy?
Hey it could easily happen - todays paper had a story about SSPCA officers finding 2 lemurs, 3 African dwarf crocodiles, a spectacled caiman, 9 snakes and 2 African tortoises in a CARAVAN in Perthshire!
Pigs gestation is 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days so I doubt very much she's pregnant. It sounds very cruel to me that you you have let her get overweight.
errr polly.......JOKE!
I know! lol ,I'm so naive aren't I?
Where's the father pig? Can't he take some responsibility?
I just wanted to show off really,as I input production data for pig breeders funnily enough.
Father absent as usual in council house births (!). Probably done by AI - with a corkscrew (have you ever seen a pigs willy?)
I was actually believing this post - duh!

The pig's willy looks weird. Glad I am not a lady pig.

Karenmac - I haven't seen that story in the paper, where in Perthshire? Blairgowrie?
