Anyone else read the heart rending letter in today's Daily Mail about the lady still grieving after two years for her beloved rescue border collie dog Pip? I think all animal lovers will associate with her loss and wish her well

Hello Auntiemoll. I have just 10 minutes ago read the story, and I do feel sad for her. Two years isn't so long when you have lost a beloved dog, and it still hurts. It is 14 years since we lost our lovely Jock, a black lab x alsation, he was such a character and lived till he was 16 and a half. We still miss him, so can well understand how Pip's mum feels. Best wishes. Schutz.
I read it and it certainly rang true for me. I've loved all my dogs and it's heartbreaking when they have to leave, but my rescue GSD who had been so badly treated before she came to us was my special girl. It took ages to win her trust but when we did we had a wonderful dog who would have laid down her life for us. I shall miss her forever but know I will see her again eventually.
