my kittens eyes have red around them. dose that mean anything?

Sounds like your kitten has conjunctivitis which is quite common in kittens.  You really should take him/her to a vet as soon as possible, who can give you some eye ointment.  If left, it could be serious for the cat and take a lot longer to clear.

 

It is also very contagious, so needs attention.
