I read that and cried.

The utter evilness of some people is beyond words. I can't for the life of me bear to think how that dog suffered over the course of those days.

i sincerely hope this sorry escuse for a human gets what's (hopefully) coming to him.
I know, i've never been in that lady's situation, and hope to God i never am, but I like to think that I couldn't/ wouldn't let him do what he did over that length of time. I'd like to think i'd have somehow got the dog away safely.

Or am I on my own in wondering how much of an effort she really made?
no BOO your're not on your own on that, i would have tried my darn hardest for that dog, ive said this before if anyone or anything had tried to hurt my patch(cat) i would not have been responsible for my actions. then we dont know all the details and this man sorry thing was evil to both dog and wife.
Completely and utterly beyond me how anybody could do, or allow this sort of thing to happen, why the hell didn't she smack him over the head with a rolling pin or brick? some people are scum, I can't think of another word to describe such inhumane actions, I really do hope he suffers.
That's what I meant Ray.

Now obviously we don't know how scared of this man she was, but the thought that someone was treating any animal like this would, i'm almost positive, drive me to murder them.

That is just sick.

I know it's not quite in the same league, but this article is in our local paper today and it brough tears to my eyes. Some people don't deserve to be on this planet...

Hi B00, you are so right, I abhor cruelty of any sort wether it be to children, adults or Animals, Mans inhumainity never ceases to sicken me, that poor dog, what would posess somebody to do such a sick thing, makes me very angry and more than that very sad.
That Gok Wan, is also very sad, lets hope the poor thing finds a nice new home full of happiness and love for him, also hope they find whoever owned the dog, the penalties should be much togher than they are, no good just banning these evil people from keeping pets, they need to be hit hard,
I started to read this, but I have had to close it down because I am actually feeling physically sick.

I'd lock this ba$tard in a room and throw away the key. Just leave him there to rot ............. evil beyond words.
A dog is part of the family and you`d protect them as you would your kids etc, surely she could`ve done more

Also, in todays paper there was a story about 2 dogs thrown from a car on the M25, one was killed and the other survived, I hope they catch the bastads what did it and do the same to them
Evil cruel people like this should be physically castrated. It usually follows that if they're so cruel to defenceless animals, then they're cruel to babies and probably other people as well.
raysparx1 you are correct, the filth (I can't describe them as people, they are nearly beyond description) do need to be hit hard, and preferably with a baseball bat!!

Abuse of any living thing is sickening but these are defenseless creatures and that just makes me sick to the bone.

I realise I've been a little hypocritical but the filth that can do this to another living thing deserves to be treated as filth.

oppps connection glitch... sorry about the double post
I can hardly believe what I've read here. I hope that excuse for a human gets big time payback to equal what he did.I agree that we don't know the full background to the story, but,I think I'd have reacted to the situation as if my child was being attacked!!..Been ready to do anything to save him.
Not sure I want to read this, the comments you have ll made have me crying in anticipation. Not good.

Oh my word! :(
That is, oh, oh, it's just horrific. "Animal-loving Ms McMonagle" my left cheek, if anyone came near Jack, our Collie, I would lose it, I wouldn't be responsible for my actions. I know domestic violence forces people into corners, but couldn't she at least have called someone? I mean, FFS, would she stand by and watch her child being hung, drowned, kicked to death?

Either way she let a living thing die when she could have done something about it.
At least he did die, because if he had lived, he would have been so traumatised. And at least they are divorcing (divorced?) now.
