Hi jody dog
If my dog had the odd accident, I would put paper kitchen towel down to absorb the excess urine.
Sponge or wipe with a warm cloth and washing up liquid until the stain has disappeared.
After that, wipe over with disinfectant.
I used 1001 spray carpet cleaner when I was training my labrador. Try white vinegar diluted in warm water t1:2 o get rid of any residual pong. Don't forget - the dog will go back to widdle there once he/she has 'marked' the carpet!
simple solution - works every time for odours and stains -

Clean with a diluted solution of biological washing powder, to remove any odour and to make sure the dog does not urinate in the same place, use surgical spirit
