Hi, not sure about using a litter tray in a cage as I've never done that, but as for bedding any bedding is good as long as it is dry! Change it regularly and there shouldn't be any problems with warmth, especially as there are two of them....they'll snuggle up together to keep warm. I 've always used a mixture of straw and hay with a base of newspaper [ see previous bunny post]. Hope this helps.

thanks Lisa. Colin
I was also thinking of using a litter tray in my new cage - I havent got the rabbit yet, we are just getting ready for our new arrival. My aunt had a litter tray in her rabbit's hutch and had no problems so I hope it will work. I will put hay and sawdust at the 'bedroom' end of the cage and the tray at the other end.
Good luck
