I have over watered my mums plant over the last couple of weeks. Is there a way to speed up the evaporation / water uptake so it doesn't die? I've thought about trying to dry it out over the radiator then I thought it probably won't like that too much.

Any ideas? Newspaper under the pot etc. Is it doomed? The soil is waterlogged. Many thanks in advance.

Can you repot it. Dry potting compost will take the excess out of the plant.
Kitchen roll - and keep replacing it?
The above answers look good to me. I too sometimes accidently over water pot plants and if I manage to catch it early enough, I remove the dish and raise the pot up on something like a couple of short bits of cane etc and allow it to drain through.
You can also sometimes recover a semi dried out plant by submerging it for an hour or so. Good Luck Tbird+
