hi. my cat went missing yesterday, it is the first time this has happened. she goes out but normally only as far as she can see the house. i went out yesterday for a while and she was sat on my front steps (she didn't want to go in) but when i came back i couldn't see her, i called her but she never came. i went all round our estate last night and today i've been all round the village looking for her but there is no sign. i've put up a poster in our local shop. just wondered if anyone had any more suggestions as to where she could be xXx

Hi Posy..I've nothing to offer you here, other than I hope your wee baby is found soon xx.
posy posy ...any luck...thinking of you :( x x
Hi Posy - hope your cat a returned. How old is she, I know my own cat stayed firmly put till she got to a certain age and now she stays at home for days hardly venturing out and then goes off for 3 or 4 days for not reason (seemingly), although I do suspect she has a mystery benefactor somewhere! But I know how you feel as each time she does this I always jump to horrible conclusions and never get use to her little trips. Sometimes I think they may come back while you are not at home and you just keep missing each other! Anyway I hope all works out well and you soon have a purring cat back in your arms. X
is your cat a pedigree? is it possible she has been stolen? sorry, i know that isnt very reassuring, i feel very sad for you. i have my own 'mongrel' cat and i love him to bits. hope she comes home soon. xxx

no luck yet. she is 2. she has never wandered before, it's so unlike her. she is a british shorthair. i don't think anybody would steal her tho. i hope she comes home xXx
hi posy, i see she's not back yet, what have the local vets said? and don't forget add in local paper! thinking of you xx
Oh posy-thinking of you ((((big hug))))
Our cat Campbell went missing recently. She got shut overnight in someone else's house when he stayed overnight with his girlfriend. She hid under the floorboards when he got home, and emerged a little while later very, very dirty.
We did find out just how many houses she normally pops round to visit when we leafleted the street to find out if anyone had seen her. She's safe and sound, and still poking her nose in to other people's houses. Hope your kitty comes home soon.

thanx for your kind words everyone, i appreciate it. hopefully she will turn up soon xXx
Hi again Posy,
Popped back to see if there was any news. Sorry she still hasn't returned, still early days tho so don't give up hope. I know it's hard but try to stay positive.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Take care
~Wingnut~
Still hoping for you Posy. Sue xxx
Hi Posy....Any sign yet? If not, I'm sure she's just out exploring! I'm a first time cat owner[only had my kitten for two weeks], and up until now have only kept dogs. Church constantly amazes me with her independent streak. If it were one of my dogs missing I would truly panic, but were it Church, I'd take comfort in the fact she could look after herself....I have the scratches to proove it!!! Hope your little girl is OK.... Sending you both hugs XXX

Hi ~posy~, I'm really sorry to read that your little girl is still missing, I really hope it will all end in happiness for you all and she will waltz in as if nothing was a miss like my "Millie" did to me. X X X :-)
Is she neutered? Maybe she's gone courting.

Whatever, I hope she comes back soon.

hi everyone. thanx again for your kind words. unfortunately she still hasn't come home.
janeo - yes she is neutered, so i don't think it is that. i'll just keep my fingers crossed xXx
Hate to say it, but do you live near any busy roads?

On a more positive note, my sister went to get her Sunday papers the other week from a shop on the corner, walked past a house a few doors down and saw her big fat black beast of a Cat called Sidney sitting in their front window, waving. Bloody cats, wherever there is food and some attention!

Good luck, I hope she has just gone on a short 'holiday'
Poor posy.

One of our kitties can be a right little ******, staying out allnight and then turning up the following morning with a look of 'what?' on her face.

I hope you'll find yours and that she has just been chasing things, got bored and fallen asleep under a bush.

HI ~posy~, I'm sorry to read that your kitty still hasn't come home, this is just an idea, how about putting a poster with a photograph in your local supermarket it might jog peoples memories. Good luck i hope it works. X X X :-)

hi everyone. she still hasn't come home. we do live quite close to a main road but she hates the noise and won't go near it. i have looked all down there though and looked in all the bushes at the edge. i have a poster up in our local shop, we only live in a small village and that is the main shop so i thought that would be the best place to put it. i just don't understand where she could be xXx
Hi posy. I'm really sorry to hear that your cats still not come home. As you've not heard anything it sounds as though she probably has got herself shut in a garage and the owners have gone away. If this is the case I should try not to worry too much (I do know this is easier said than done), but cats are pretty good survivors.
Many of mine have spent several days away and they wander back in not understanding what all the fuss is about.

Thinking of you, I know how distressing it can be. Pud xx
