how to identify a male cow from a female one apart from the mammary glands.Is it true that a male cow has a hump? or do both have humps

There are two ways to differentiate between a cow and a bull - there are no male cows, they are bulls.

The first is that bulls are a lot broader and heavier accross the shoulders, and the most obvious difference is that bulls have the necessary equipment to make calves - and it's not hard to spot! i think you know where I'm coming from on this .....?
Following on, and apologies for jumping on your question -

what is the collective name for bulls, cows and calves of the domestic variety we are used to in the UK?

I don't believe they are ox.
