Ahem. My little park. My little park seems cold now. The summer night barbecues right beneath my window I can do without (stinks) but other than that it's a joy to follow the goings-on. I so love to observe the body language of the dogs being walked, saying hello to each other and playing... At one time one dog was hump- ...fairing l'amour to another and one of the owners threw a ball to distract him - and off the suitor went, chasing the ball! Imagine that, being cut out by a rubber ball. That's amore.

One morning I was awakened by a soft continuous clunking sound and I looked out to see a group of jugglers rehearsing...! (With those things that look like bowling pins.) Couple of times I've seen people doing tai chi, Jude, and sometimes the first thing I see as I pull the curtains aside is a *********, Vinny, presiding on a lamppost right outside and staring in at me - makes me think of you, ha ha!

Last summer on a very hot day I saw an elderly couple sitting on one of the benches. Suddenly the woman opens up her handbag and produces a dish cloth of the spongier variety which she then proceeds to press against the forehead of her ole man. I thought that was incredibly funny - and incredibly sweet.

Another time I awoke at four in the morning in the fair summer night by the deafening sound of a dying dragon, so I thought: It was a low-flying hot air balloon. We have plenty of them, but not at that hour and generally not in my park...!

And then there's always the soft murmur of the winos on the benches of course, and there's the tiniest playground where the sandpit soon will be covered with snow. Come spring all my many gardeners will surface once more, wearing the city overall, granted, but really they're mine. THE END

Ha ha - have a guess!
Just goes to show what a mixed bag life in Stockholm is... on the one hand, temperatures of minus a zillion in winter, on the other, poetry. Lovely, Kit!
Hi Biddyfriends . Hope you are all ok.It's been a lovely sunny but cold day here. I have actually been for a walk while me car was having a chip 'ironed' out of the windscreen.
Loved the Isand in the Sun vid Kit it really appealed to me.

Am sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for my child to arrive at her new pad in Barcelona. Ate frogs legs for the first time tonight.

Mornin Brrrrr..!
frogs legs...hows the blighter spose to walk now then eh..!
tut...(:O)
Feeling a bit greenish this morning, ribbet, ribbet!!!!
hey ho, what a grey day...

yes, let's all send neti on a guilt trip

oh, Kit's done a talking heads ...that's a lovely image, a great way to people watch. Around here we just twitch the net curtains when a delivery van pulls up or her around the corner wears a new winter coat. When most of your friends have got blue rinses & curly perms the only way to recognise them is by their clothes.
....anyway, back to the park....now I want to know the elderly couple's story - will that be next week's episode? Where do they live? How did they meet? Maybe they're secret swingers...haha.

Guilt? guilt? not, in fact they were quite tasty and very meaty - yum - will defo have some again. Rushing like mad to send bedding off to Bara, as in spite of what was advertised there isn't any. House is a right mess, washing all over the place as we had first an unexpected bonfire along the road causing all sorts of smoke and smells, until the Police told them off (so no washing out then) then when washing 1kingsize lot and 1 single lot were on line, it poured and it's sunny now but I'm in a right old 2and8. Waiting till 14.30 when roads are quiet and I can park out side the PO, and Housewife 49 thought her life was hard!!!
(((((helloooo)))))

mmm, another one of those busy who people who's never too busy to tell you how busy they are....it's no good neti, we know you're lolling by your logs & wailing Beach Boys songs...

actually it's spooky you should mention it, I've just seen a PO set in the toyshop...do kids know what one is & should I have bought it to keep as a reminder? It did have a little rolling message accessory that said Waiting Time - 3 hours.... haha.

Am shattered, glad I posted parcel earlier as the last parcel post went at 14.30 so luckily it went off. She will get it tomorrow or Thurs. Well, have cleaned everywhere, and now sitting down with a cuppa and a mint sweetie. Lentils and chorizo stew for dinner tonight - again yummy!!!!
tch, I hope you realise the chorizo is an endangered species
indeed, this is one of the last ones seen in the wild...
