Does Anyone Do Wordle?

I got it in 4 this morning.  When I do solve it I usually take 4 or 5 tries.

I do, I got it in 4 today.  My stats show that I get most in 4 but over the last few days I have solved it on the final go twice.

My luck may be running out

On a good day, I get it in three tries, normal day four or five attempts.

When I haven't a clue and am on the last try I Google the answer.

I prefer the Spelling Bee that comes next,

Hello. Yes I do Wordle every day and was getting a little complacent after a sequence of about 20 successes- mainly 4s but with a fair sprinkling of 3s (even a lucky 2); so much so that I was starting with random words every day rather than my usual ADIEU or ATONE and was still managing to get 3s or 4s.

But I failed miserably on Sunday to end my long streak. After 2 plays I had the last 4 letter INGE but then wasted it on HINGE, SINGE, WINGE, TINGE instead of BINGE. The lesson learnt is not to jump in with answers; I should have thought of all the options and then tried something like BATHS to identify the remaining letter. Lesson learnt.

I am just about to do today's. No spoilers please.

I do it just after midnight and I do wonder sometimes if I'm a bit too tired to think.

Usually, I just think of any 5 letter word and go from there.

I got todays in 4.

The memsahib and I have a routine. We go to the pub at about 3.00-3.30 armed with two copies of the day's Metro crosswords and compete. Once the cryptic and quick crosswords are completed we both do Wordle. Yet to do todays wordle.

The spelling Bee annoys me because want o get as many words as I can and it usually cuts me off before 'good '  if I see the big one immediately it still doeslet let me reach good!

 

It's rhe first thing I do in the morning to wake my brain up.  My brain doesn't really wake up until the rest of the population is snoring away in their beds

i was on a winning streak of 153 and had started to do it when the phone rang and I forgot to go back to it,really annoyed with myself 🥵 so back to 0
