Not sure what’s wrong with her, she didn’t eat her meal last night and isn’t interested in a treat, she keeps running then licking her lady bits, I’ve checked to see if there’s anything there but can’t see anything, she did jump into a pile of cow dung on Wednesday , could she have got an infection from doing that?
OH has taken her to the vets to have her checked over

Has she been through nettles at all. The Running around and licking and being unwell is what Poppy does if she gets stung, and do did my previous dogs. Nettles can be very toxic allergy wise dogs. More than they are to humans.

When she came back on Wednesday and I had to bath her, I had to remove a load of small thorns from her coat but would this stop her eating?
I don't think it will be anything serious, but it's horrible when pets are not well and they can't tell us how they feel.
Perhaps the thorns got stuck in her nether regions.
Dogs tend not to eat if they are worried, or take treats. They soon bounce b

I’ll let you know, many thanks, I needed someone to chat to about it
I dont know if it's reached up your way, Bobbie, but there's a doggie intestinal virus all over the country. Sally had it a few weeks ago as did someone I know further east of here, plus a few fellow dog walkers.
Hope Lola doesn't have it. (With an elderly, already incontinent dog, it was messy!) Though as others say, it may have something to do with her mucky experience.
Question Author
Oh no, is Sally okay now Pasta?
Shes fine now, Bobbie. But it was worrying, as I didn't know about this bug at the time. Shes been eating for England since she's recovered.

OHs brought her back, she’s got inflamed Dermatitis ( probably off the cow dung) a very high temperature as it’s an infection, she’s had two injections, one antibiotic and the other a steroid injection, two lots of tablets and a head cone to stop her licking herself, will have to take her back on Monday to check her temperature is okay, if it’s not over the weekend, then we have to contact the local veterinary hospital
