My OH found an injured kitten at work. She was in a bush meowing in the middle of nowhere. He stopped and stroked her and she started following around. No houses nearby and no sign of the mother. Eventually he wrapped her up in his jumper and put her his van. By the time he got home they already had a bond.

She was 5 weeks old. We're guessing she was abandoned because of her injury. We fixed her.
