My sister and her flatmate stupidly bought two kittens for their flat, knowing it was going against the tenancy agreement. The management of the apartments has complained to her landlord who is our cousin. She has to get rid of them a.s.a.p! She is at the stage where she wants to take them to the cat and dog shelter but i won't let that happen!! I couldn't live with the guilt! I knew she shouldn't have got them, i'm the animal lover, not her. Anyway, how can i sort this out? I'm doing this because i want them to have a good home, together. Any suggestions? We live in North Tyneside if that helps. Thanx

Could she put them in a local paper as "free to a good home"?

have you asked the person who bred the kittens for help? Honestly, a reputable rescue organisation might be the best bet for properly rehoming the kittens?

I know I am nasty, but I would make your sister take them. It won't be pleasant and hopefully she won't be so silly again!!!

I've tried putting them in the paper but they said there was a problem with it and then didnt get back to me. It's a bit late for that now anyway, it would take too long for the ad to get printed!
Not sure what you have available there in the UK. But I agree with woofgang, ask the one you bought them from, or rescue org. Or if you have a petstore, market, church...whatever you have, or something of that nature go there and hang out see if someone is looking for a free pet. Good luck, wish I could help more, but I live in the U.S. People show up at my job looking to rehome animals all the time.
I would look for a reputable rescue - many 'private' (ie non-council) rescues have a no-euthanasia policy.  Kittens should get new homes really quickly anyway.  Try www.dogpages.org.uk and post them in 'Other animals needing homes'.  Good luck.
