With Donald Trump stressing that he will ' Put America first', do you think the USA will be heading towards isolationalism?

If so, would you also consider this to be a good thing or a bad thing for the American people and the rest of the world ?

i think there will be stronger ties between trump and theresa may. better still a more positive working relationship with russia.
Far from it, here is the rest of the World's reaction towards Donald Trump's victory.

Interesting to note however I cannot see our main opposition party's response.

Isolation is not good but putting your own first does not mean that.
Putting America first doesn't mean isolating America from the rest of the world.
There is a big difference between putting America first and isolationism.

All the remainers shouted loud and clear that Bretix would mean we implode with the same sort of isolationism but it simply isn't true.

It just means that decisions about the countries deals with the rest of the world must benefit the country first. It doesn't mean nothing will get done around the world. That is just the stupid people not thinking things through.
Trump will soon find out that he won't be able to do many of things that he ranted about before the Election. Isolationism never works anyway, and he won't be allowed to try it.
Mikey, //Isolationism never works anyway, and he won't be allowed to try it. //

He has no intention of trying it.
You wont get through to Mickey andthe liberal left, they are blinded by their own propaganda in the media.
I agree with the previous posts who point out that putting America first and Isolationism are mutually exclusive.

I think it will be interesting, when the dust settles, to see how Mr Trump adapts to having his personal objectives tempered by others who have a say in what happens - which will be a unique and completely new experience for him.
30 things that Trump believes ::::

It will be interesting just how many of these things Trump will be allowed to get away with, come next January. As most of of them are either impracticable and/or illegal, not many is my best guess.
A nice bit of friendly flag burning and window smashing now going on in America ... strange way for the Trump supporters to celebrate if you ask me.
Link please Talbot !
Mainly looking at pictures/vids posted on Twitter but ... http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/trump-win-sparks-riots-across-9225317
Thanks Talbot...yet to make the mainstream news.
Flag burning, particularly old glory on US soil by young kids who know f.a. is a disgrace, but it is usually instigated, as this probably was, by someone hoping to sell the image to the press, and the Mirror (well whaddya know?) obliged
Well looks like a life on the dole for those kids. Those images will be around forever, burning Old Glory will come back to haunt them all their life. Idiots.
