Should These Be Stopped?

The ads on TV Regards Gambling etc, as you may have seen this week in you Media, a woman gambled away £6 Million, there is enough hardship around for families & I think these Sites should be shut down, I do understand it's up to the individual to control their habit, but some are very weak, what's your views?

On line gambling should be made illegal -full stop. Its too accessible -days gone by you had to physically go into a bookies or a casino -now you can just log on. I hate gambling although no one I know has had a gambling problem,I just think its a total waste of money.
i might be wrong but im sure you have complained about the nanny state before.
people have the right to make their own choices, companies have the right to advertise their products
i do think these companies should have stricter controls in place but ultimately if you want to do something you will find a way

The Labour government adopted a seriously odd attitude to gambling - mooting the idea of 'super casinos' which seems ludicrous for a party based on the working population which, by definition, does not have huge amounts of disposable income.
I would like to see on-line gambling banned.
Yes adults should have responsibility for themselves, but so often, that responsibility is abused or abandoned.

Stop the ads by all means, (particularly the one with the annoying Ray Winstone) but why should the majority of responsible on line gamblers (of which i am one) suffer because of the minority of those who cannot control themselves? I have been gambling since my early teens and have been doing so on line for about 6 years and never have i gambled more than i can afford to lose. I feel for those who are affected by this, but, as someone has already asked, 'where do you draw the line?'
