why are safari jeeps painted black and white (like a zebra) when lions eat zebras ??

It's so the lions bite the jeep instead of the contents.
Thankfully the jeeps I've travelled in were green, safe from lions but the veggie rhinos and elephants took an interest.......
They had them in Daktari so the colours must be ok :-)

It's to turn an otherwise quiet safari trip into a White Knuckle Ride!
Winter camouflage pattern when hunting polar bears in Norway.
It is just a simple disruptive pattern camouflage designed to break up the outline of the vehicle and make it less obvious to animals eyes (most animals see in black and white.)

Or a gimmick for the punters.......
because it looks pretty.....
Because all the non striped zebra became extinct
Because the tourists like it. They feel that they are 'going native'
The lions are trying to figure out which one to blame in forgetting to bring a can opener...
