Yes, assuming of course, you treat them for it.

You can buy drops that can be added to the water to treat fin rot. Follow the instructions carefully for whichever brand you buy - this usually involves mixing it with a bit of tank water first, rather than adding the drops direct to the tank. I used Interpet No.8 Anti-Fungus and Finrot Treatment.

My son's goldfish had a touch of fin rot on his tail after we got him. But it cleared up fine and his tail is now beautiful (he's only a bog-standard goldfish - nothing fancy, but he's looking good.)

You also need to tackle any underlying cause, usually stress or poor water quality. A common cause in tank fish kept in families is liitle darlings trying to touch the fish (hands in the tank) This stresses the fish and also damages their protective slime layer allowing fungusses and bacteria to get a hold.
To avoid stress to the fish when you change the water, place a container holding enough water to fill the tank,next to the tank for at least 24 hours. This will prevent the shock from a sudden temperature change.
