...just watching newsnight. There's a article about giving pigs swill to eat again. I think some of some of the people on here will be in business with their cooking:-)

Changing the regulations concerning cattle feed brought us BSE. Feeding pigs swill will probably increase the incidence of Foot & Mouth disease.

Who's will?
When I was at school we put all waste food in to a metal dustbin which the local pig keeper collected every day.

We chucked our school dinners straight into the swill bucket...it cuts out the middle man:-)

Always put our kitchen scraps, peelings, etc in the "pig bin" for weekly collection when I was a kid (in the Fifties that was) and it didn't seem to cause any problems.
I thought all the swill nowadays was given to motorway service stations to serve up to desperate( you'd have to be !) travellers.
Oh Jan, the bacon butty I had at MacDonalds on the M56 last Saturday morning was lovely - oh hang on .... that is the bloody pig!?!
Oh welshy, a pig swill butty... yummy!
