Talking with friends last night about how many times they have moved home and even around Britain to live made me realise what a sheltered life Ive led LOL. Since meeting my now husband in 1974 Ive only moved towns once, from Birmingham to Bridlington and only moved house in Bridlington 3 times in 40 years marriage. We have been in our present home 25 years.
How about you Abers. Are some of you still living in the same house you were born or are you always on the move ?

Sorry, met my husband in 1970, we married in 1974. How time flies
Bought this house in in 1979 and haven't moved... Going to soon though
nope. the house that I was born in was pulled down long ago. I am living in the seventh house I have ever lived in including two childhood homes and one in america.

I used to work as a community occupational therapist (now retired) It used to shock and frustrate me how many people who could easily have afforded to move house and could easily have stayed in the same area, kept their friends, doctor and so on, refused point blank to consider it when physical disability struck and made it really difficult to live in their current house. One woman who lived in the house that she was born in actually wanted her disabled husband to live in the garden shed so she wouldn't have to leave her home....I mean after all its only bricks and mortar!!
Well family one with mum and dad and siblings - now my own I have been for 25 years now - hope to stay forever as I am so near people, supermarkets, friends etc - no, no move unless it is into the big
sorry that was submitted to quick to continue not until I go to the next big HOME whether be it down here or up above LOL
I have moved 16 times so far in life, looking to move in a few weeks again!

My 33 year old son has moved about 6 times since leaving his home here and going to Uni. Has to keep moving to do with his job. I wish he would settle down soon
I was born in Cyprus and moved to London when I was 3. Lived in Peckham for a year, then moved to south London where I have lived in 3 different homes.
Born 72 and moved 23 times!
Have lived in my house for 42 years; in the city I was born in. Only lived with my parents and in one other house before moving here. May downsize once grandkids stop visiting for their summer holidays!
LOL... I've got my lot at the moment maggie
This is my tenth house I've lived in ( although a few we lived in simultaneously) so that averages 18 months in each house ;-)
Until 18 I'd lived in 12 homes but dad was in the forces. From an adult I've lived in 8, first 2 in Kent, last 6 in Dorset.
In 45 years, I've lived in 2 childhood homes, both in Wood Green, London, I'm now on my third 'own' home in Essex.

Lost count of moves, but staying put now.
Talking of moving has RATTER been on since his move?
