I've never been on a packager holiday we usually just fly somewhere and then see what happens but I do enjoy deciding where.
lol...I hate travelling so it's the destination for me.

No...I don't brink my own sarnies.
I like being there. Everything else is a necessary chore

triggs, I never had you down as the type to wear budgie smugglers
I don't enjoy the holiday at all, but the taxi to the airport, now that's great, I get 'em to go the long way 'round to give me time to eat my sarnies, and crisps!
I love planning a holiday, love packing for a holiday, hate the airport (anxiety levels starting to increase), absolutely HATE flying (anxiety levels through the roof) but love getting to the destination - as long as I'm with my family! :-)

As for sarnies on the plane, I have done this for the kids, yes. A couple of times I've known no meals would be provided, but mainly because they wouldn't eat the airline food.
We do "last minute" holidays because we are so disorganised and normally have child contact issues to sort out. Thus last year, we bought tent the day before we left and drove in the general direction of Cornwall, whilst I was phoning campsites to find one that had room.

The year before, we bunged a load of stuff in the car and headed towards Scotland. I'd booked the first two nights in a hotel and thereafter we made it up as we went along.

It's quite good fun not knowing where you are going to end up. Although this year I've said I want to be a bit more organised. That is just not going to happen, I know.
I like all of that stuff. It's all part of the excitement. I just don't like the paying bit.
I love it all. If I book a holiday months in advance I am a nightmare doing a daily countdown! lol

No I don't bring sarnies on a plane...they feed you! lol
All of it except for the parting of money....
But the being there is the best bit.

To add, do you think the meals on the plane are good value for money, or do you say it's a part of the holiday.
Your own sarnies????? Hell, no.
I love the planning of a holiday and when I get there. Not keen on the travelling to and from the airport if going abroad but quite enjoy the flight and I like aeroplane food, so no I wouldn't take my own sarnies.
TWR, I've never paid for a meal on a plane separatley, ^^^^^ how much do they cost?
Enjoy the build up to a holiday! But mostly the flight :)
Meals on flights are included unless you fly Ryanair. I wouldn't give that idiot of a man any more money than I had to!
Meals on planes are grim. But I've never been on a flight so long I couldn't wait until I got to the destination to eat.
You flash lot. I haven't been abroad since 2001!
I think in-flight meals are adequate. My kids are just ridiculously fussy!

The last time I went on a plane (5 hour flight) there were no meals included and it was with Thomson. There was an option to buy food on board, however.
