has been acting strangely this afternoon. She has been pacing around the house and unable to settle down. She hasn't wanted to go outside and has had a long walk this morning.

She's lying at my feet at the moment and seems to have settled but do you think she may have a problem? Might she be in pain? She's eleven but gives the impression of being as fit as a fiddle.

Oh Tilly I hope she's ok, give her a hug from me xxx
Question Author
I will, sibton.
Has she eaten as usual? Has she been to the loo as normal?
See how she is tomorrow. xx
Please give her a rub behind the ears from me.
Max my old boy always seemed to find a way of letting me know if something was wrong, so if she's not showing any signs of pain there probably isn't any. At the age of eleven she's a grand old lady and she's probably just showing her age a bit, so keep your eye on her and give her a hug from me and I hope you have the pleasure of her company for a few more years.
Probably sounds silly Tilly, but whats the weather like by you? I sat up til half two this morning with one of my spaniels who was bahaving really oddly, walking around, panting, lie down , get up, just couldn't settle, then we had one hell of a storm, ( we live by the sea) Torrential rain, gale force wind. stopped about half six this morning. dog fine now. x I'm sure they can sense things. see the storm coming. he usually the same before thunder and lightening. How is your GS now?
Tilly, I do hope Sparkles is right, they do seem to be affected by the weather

She's eating and pooing normally. The weather is wet and windy. maybe it's the wind that's disturbing her. I'll see how she is tomorrow. If she's the same I will take her to the vets on Monday.

She's had all the hugs and ear scratches you've all sent. Thank you.
Morning Tilly.

I hope your girl is feeling better this morning. As long as she's eating and dringking then I wouldn't worry too much... our hounds, just like us all have off days. My Lola was so sick the other night and I really do panic... then we had the next day full of brussel sprout farts! Well...even the hounds deserve a Christmas dinner ;0)

Hope she's feeling better.

Ooops...repetition!

Morning Lisa,
She seems O.K. today, so far. I'll watch how she reacts come 'walkies' time.
Thanks for your kind thoughts.
Really pleased to hear that Tilly! Such a worry when they're not at their best!

My pooch is nearly 13 and she has her off days. I hope that is all it is for your doggy
I hope pooch continues to be OK and it was just a blip xx
Is she ok about fireworks? They have been going off near me over the past few nights and no doubt more to come over New Year. Other than that she may just be starting to lose the plot a bit, many older dogs do and they seem a bit disorientated. If she was in pain I would think she would have shallow fast breathing and more likely to take herself off somewhere.
