RIP Little Tigger you wonderful friend

I AM NOT THERE
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

I really loved you Human dear
I will wait 'till you are here.

Thank you everyone for your support and thank you Wendilla and Whiskeyron for your lovely poems xxx

I've been doing a lot of crying since I brought her home. I can't believe I'll never see her again and I miss her so so much.
Right. I know this may not be the right time, but time is of the essence if you want to do this...
What are your thoughts on taxidermy? You could have tigger stuffed, and he'd forever be with you.
Please, please take this in the way it's intended. If I had any pets, I would do this, and it's just something that often gets overlooked. It's not for everyone, but just a thought.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss :-( xx
Tiggs, so sorry - the pain is very large, and you will miss her so much. Take comfort that you did everything you possibly could to help her in her time of need. Thinking of you, big hugs ♥
Sorry to hear the news Tigger, about feline tigger. bless you my sympathies Xx

My dad buried her in my parents garden earlier Bluestone. She is now next to Snoopy, my cat that died 12 years ago. I wanted her buried there as I know my parents will never leave that house. I'm hoping to move in a couple of years.
Ahh, that's really nice, Tiggerblue10. I actually just reported that comment of mine, as I was worried it would upset you. Thank you for taking it in the way it was intended, though. My heart was in the right place.
I am really, really sad to hear of your loss. It's nice that you have a place where he can lay to rest :-) xx

Nothing wrong with your post Bluestone, you're just trying to be helpful which is good.

I know a lot of people do that to their pets but for me personally, I don't think I could have her taxidermied. I just want to remember her the way she was, which is a little shy cat I got from Battersea when she was 2. She was so scared that she hid under a bed in my spare bedroom for ages before she plucked up the courage to come out. She used to run away whenever anyone came round and she only ever let me stroke her.

Thanks Boxy and Ark xxx
So sorry for your loss xxx
So sorry Tigger x
I have thought about you all afternoon, I have been looking at my mob of furrys all afternoon, they are not cats but family members, I am glad you bought her home and laid her to sleep with dear Snoopy, uncanny when I read that as I buried jess with my beautiful big man (Snoopy), xxx
Take care.xxxx
I too have been thinking about you all afternoon since I came on here. I'm going off now, but tigger you did a good thing taking in this little puss and loving her like you did - wasn't she lucky (just as you were). She will be in your heart forever and who really knows, you may see her again some day. I hope to see all my beloved pets that have gone again, one day. Isn't that a lovely thought? She died knowing she was loved and wanted and that's all everyone (pets and humans) wants really isn't it? I know how you are feeling right now, I really do. Bye bye xx
Very sorry to read this Tiggs xx

Thank you NM, Icemaiden and Josephine xxx

Every time I go in the kitchen I see her little food plates and it sets me off. Its going to be really strange just feeding Blue on her own. Blue doesn't seem to have been affected. Another thing that is sad is that Little Tiggs had just learnt to say Tigger's name.
Tiggs, it's a strange thing - when one of my twin cat boys died many years ago, the other one certainly knew about it - he mourned the company but it showed a few days later, when he seemed to realise the other one wasn't coming back. Blue might need extra cuddles.
So sorry tigger that's really sad news and you are going to feel very upset. It's making me teary, nothing else I can add really but thinking of you x
I'm very sorry to see your sad news tiggerblue.

I just wanted to say to you that it is okay to grieve over a family pet (don't let anyone say to you that she was 'just a cat') and you should definitely allow yourself the time to do so. I remember how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet.
Ah I am so sorry to hear your news Tiggs, I have been thinking of you since I read your earlier post. How sad for you ...... it will take time to get over your initial grief but then you will be able to look at his photos and remember all the happy times with a smile. My beautiful old dog Blackie still looks at me from a lovely photo I have of him from over 40 years ago ................... Love and hugs xx
Daffy, I couldn't agree more - the loss of a pet is far greater than non-pet owners can ever understand.
sorry to hear this, tigs.......the family must be pretty cut up and you as well.

Remember your good days.
