i have just found flea like insects around my cats ears, could these be tics.

Could be woodlice, get on pets also, mine had that.

What colour are these flea like insects? If the inside of your cats ears are a brown colour it could be a build up of ear wax, but if you can see movement it is probably ear mites which will result in a visit to the vets. Is your puss scratching her/his ears alot thats another sign of ear mites. My cats have had them and with having more than one I had to treat all of them because they can catch them off each other. If these insects have a big bulbous body they could be tics which hedgehogs have and there is no way you can get them out without leaving the head behind, thats a job for the vets.
