My dog needed to drink regularly and I was advised to put a little salt in her drinking water - it worked for her and appeared to do her no harm.
I give mine a cup of tea, sounds silly but she loves it, hasn't done her any harm :) x
Add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it..salted water will dehydrate a dog even more.
Mine wont drink water when they are out, but they will drink goats milk. They like the rehydration drinks when they are not ill too.
If they are thirsty they will drink.
not according to my vet barb 1314 - you only put a little in but it increases the fluid intake more than enough to compensate.
stew up a little meat or fish in loads of water, no salt and give the dog the strained juices. overcooked rice or pasta also holds a lotos water and can be given with or instead of the normal food. Can I ask why your dog needs to drink more?

thanks........... problem solved, he had diarrohea, i boiled some chicken breast and gave him the broth, back to normal .. :)
I put a measure of rice into six times the measure of water with a little chopped chicken, bring to the fast boil to cook the chicken then cover , remove from heat and allow to cool. The result is a tasty very soggy rice mix that you can feed to settle the tum and rehydrated.
