I worked as a TA in the nursery that was attached to a Catholic Infant school and there was no problem with me not being Catholic; many of the teaching staff weren't Catholic either but a willingness to support the school in their Catholic ethos would probably be essential. Not sure how much of this would apply to admin staff though, probably a bit more relaxed in their requirements for these staff.
If you do get it watch out for their saint days. I taught typewriting for a while in a Catholic school, many years ago. I arrived one day to find the school completely empty. No-on had told me it was a holiday for them because of one of their saints (can't remember which one). I thought aliens had landed and taken all the kids away (come to think of it might have been a good thing if they had) (joke).
My daughter is at a catholic school - she is not catholic and know that a few of the staff aren't either. A pretty strong understanding of Catholicism is required, which is hardly suprising and they are expected to participate in mass etc.
If it is a non-teaching post that you are applying for then I would imagine your application would be based more on merit than religion. The whole catholic education ethos seems much more relaxed in terms of embracing other beliefs .
Good luck with the application.
