I turned my ring inwards, and I've still done damage.

It is so annoying. And it's not the first time it's happened to me.

£6 a pair; not cheap ones from Aldi. I could spit. You girls know to what I refer, don't you... Don't you? ;-)

Yup. Just got into work, noticed a slowly creeping ladder - just been into t'ladies to pop on a new pair. Turned my ring inwards so it didn't catch. Slowly pulled up the legs then my ring caught on one of them anyway. I'm going back to opaques...
Haven't worn stockings/tights for years and years and years. Hate them so much - horrible things. Apart from anything else the feel of them to me makes me shiver (like chalk squeaking on a blackboard).

I shall stick to wearing grey woolly socks with me ballgown!! ;o)
Sall, You must know the answer now, pop your ring off while you put your tights on.
OR, perhaps have a close look at the ring it may have a jagged clasp, any jewellers will sort it out if that is the case.
To save a bit on your tights cut the damaged leg off, do it to two pairs then hey-presto you've another pair of tights. (although two pairs of knicker things)

Removing one's ring is such a chore though..... it's quite tight and can hurt unless I run cold water over it ;-)
Morning all.

Glad to see you're on form Salla.

Jem, for a moment I thought you were encouraging Salla to chop her leg off so she needn't worry about the ladder on that leg of the tights. I was going to suggest this is a little bit drastic (albeit effective).

All the best,

Spare Ed

I do seem to have got over my Weil's disease and speech impediment, thank you Ed. A tad early in the week and the morning for innuendo - but it's this lot on here with their vile filthy minds, nothing I've meant ;-)
Had a prolapsed ring once. Quite painful.
Yes, there is little to be done about them. Filthy sods.
Question Author
It does sometimes offend my sensibilities - but I manage to rise above it.

Maybe I should just go bare? As in legged?
i would salla bare legs look better than laddered tights
I don't bother with my ring any more.........I've just looked at it and it needs a good clean.
