I'm soon to be aquiring my mothers 2 moggies, does anyone know of a good cat flap that would not only allow the 2 of them in and out but would also keep mine in? Most of the cat flaps I have seen, the mechanism on them are designed to keep straying cats out - i just want to keep one of mine in!!! Please help

I think you can get some where the cat has to wear a collar with a magnet or something and a cat without cannot use it. twinny
Have a look here, the magnetic and infra red ones have collar tags that let the cat activate the flap, either in or out.

If you can avoid putting a collar on your cats it would be better. I was out with an RSPCA Inspector last week, and saw so many cats with awful collar injuries that it's put me off them for life!
My cat has worn a safety collar all her life and she's never had a problem. The cat flap we've got is a Staywell 932. It comes with 2 mouse shaped magnets to put on the collars. (You can buy spare magnets from the larger pet shops). My cat loves the freedom it gives her!
