No idea, but my local curry house charge £5.99 for a chicken vindaloo and that gives me an aromatic ring of sorts.
It depends what is attached to it. The mobile electrons can be drawn away by, e.g. Cl leaving the ring slightly positive, or supplemented by extra electrons from, e.g. -NO2 making the ring more negative than usual.
