I have found some old style �5 notes -the large ones probably 10-15 years old,is there any way I can cash them?

Yes, old bank notes are still legal but you may have to take them to a special place to get the cash. Ring your local bank and ask them.

They won't be legal tender now, you will need to take it or send it to the Bank of England to have it exchanged.
