Ahhh the memories, of badgering your mum for the fairy bottle, and then when you get it 2 weeks later you'd forgotten what you wanted it for :-(
remember trying to find a shop that sold sticky backed plastic? lol why didn't they just say formica???
LOL boo, that and about 50 toilet rolls
silver bottle tops and yoghurt pots

This should be in the 'news' section surely? ;-)
One of the reader comments below that article:

Broken Britain Joke...

"Mummy why are your hands so soft?"

"Because I'm 12 innit."
I'm impressed people even attempted to make stuff from them... I always watched all that arts and craft stuff on Blue Peter and Why DOn't You and Heart-soemthing or other (with whats-his-face) etc with a glazed look in my eyes. The only one I likd was the one with Rolf Harris because that at least had the promise of cartoons.
You never wanted to make anything that they did CD?

I remember once watching Blue Peter make a garden and BBQ area for your Barbie dolls, and I sooooooo wanted to make it!
Nah... I'm rubbish at anything arty so that probably helped as I knew it would never turn out like how theirs did but mostly I'm just a lazy git who prefers to take the easy route and buy it. :c)
I'm gonna go see if i can YouTube it, as ive a horrible suspicion that at the time I was wayyy too old for Barbies, it's just the garden thing was really cool, or so I thought at the time.
unsurprisingly i always used to folow the recipes on why don;t you ( they were ore fun than BP's) but like china i'm very unarty so gave up on the makings things bit
I remember the Tracey Island thing and thinking that was pretty cool... But again, mine would have ended up looking like a termite mound. And a bad one.

Tracy Island, don't mention that I remember my wife and I queuing for two separate nights at "toys for us", before we managed to get one for our Grandchildren.

Fairy Liquid bottle,

Anyone remember how we made those water rockets, the ones you pumped up with a cycle pump?

Yes that's me alright, the reason that the "R" is missing is because it is one too many letters allowed for a "user name".

Hope this clears your concerns?
